3.2.2. Kruishoutem Formation - Kh

 

Author: De Moor, 1964.

Description: Alternating layers of medium to medium coarse sand and gravel (mainly rounded flint and quartz grains) preserved at the High terrace level (at about 50m above the main river in the reference area).

Stratotype: Excavation Wortegem - Walem.

Area: Schelde basin.

Thickness: Reaches 4m.

Age: Lower Pleistocene.
