Description: Yellowish loess with five tundra gleys, including large ice wedge pseudomorphs (Haesaerts et al., 1981; Juvigné et al., 1996; Meijs, 2002). On top, large gully systems with stratified sands and loess. The upper part is affected by pedogenesis of the "Rocourt Soil" (Gullentops, 1954), which is a pedocomplex encompassing three distinct pedogeneses from Luvisol to Greyzem, respectively the Harmignies, Villers Saint-Ghislain A and Villers Saint-Ghislain B soils (Haesaerts & Van Vliet-Lanoë, 1981; Van Vliet-Lanoë, 1986; Haesaerts et al.,1999; Pirson et al., 2009). We therefore propose here to rename the "Rocourt Soil" as the "Rocourt Pedocomplex".
Stratotype: Eben-Emael (western wall of the CBR chalk quarry at Romont; 50°47'27''N / 5°38'37''E).
